Career Opportunity – Quality Control Assistant Manager

Basic Research is looking to hire an experienced Quality Control professional to be responsible for the functionality of all quality control activities in our manufacturing environment. Our product is distributed in 45,000 individual retail outlets in more than 35 countries worldwide and we’ve sold over 60 million products across more than 25 brands. This role will monitor compliance with QC activities, lead QC innovation and improvement, supervise sanitation and cGMP activities, and manage vendor audits. This role reports to the Director of Quality Control. Additional responsibilities include: · Coordinate the day to day tasks of the QC team, including; interviewing, training, and assimilating new employees · Make recommendations for approving and rejecting all procedures, specifications, analytical test methods and test results, which impact the identity, strength quality, and purity of the products · Analyze processes and procedures to increase functionality and efficiency without compromising CGMP regulations and change control process · Analyze and approve batches of product and materials from third party vendors · Delegate responsibilities to QC personnel as needed · Work with the other team members to create and document procedures for our company processes MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · 3 years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment · Experience with design and implementation of sanitation programs and cGMP · Experience leading and managing others · Experience with vendor quality control · Can work before or after regular shift times when necessary PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelors Degree in related field · Takes initiative to continually improve process and build the skills and knowledge in others · Teachable and collaborative · Takes ownership for a positive culture and...
